Michelle has an intimate understanding of the Carl M. Freeman Companies as she worked very closely with her late husband, Joshua M. Freeman, on many company related matters.

She is a licensed real estate broker with more than 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. Michelle was a leading sales associate at Sea Colony in Bethany Beach, Delaware during the expansion of Sea Colony West in the 1980’s and 1990’s. In addition to the Carl M. Freeman Companies Board of Directors, she serves on the Board of Trustees of the Carl M. Freeman Foundation and is actively involved with the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland.

Michelle launched, owns and operates Pilot Properties, a small business that specializes in the building, rentals and sales of properties on the Delaware Shore. She is also responsible for the management and oversight of the Freeman Family farm, a 500 acre historic property located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and associated employees.

Michelle also brings significant restaurant and hospitality expertise by way of her experience with various venues including Di Febo’s Restaurant in the resort community of Bethany Beach, Delaware.

She is passionate about the Carl M. Freeman Companies and the vision held by Joshua M. Freeman and Mr. Carl M. Freeman before him -- and enjoys running, the arts, spending time with her children and attending symphony and opera performances.
